Dorian Sorriaux of Blues Pills: “No record, no tour.”

“Zach and Cory would do what they called ‘friend-blasting’, adding hundreds and hundreds of people on Facebook and then just send Blues Pills links. (laughs)” – Dorian Sorriaux, Blues Pills

The Blues Pills are a great live band with an interesting success story. The blues band is composed of four young musicians from three different countries, signed on a predominantly metal label, and plays rather old-school music – for lack of better words. We had the pleasure to talk with their 20-year old guitarist Dorian Sorriaux for #fhtz. Dorian explains where he sees the Internet offering opportunities for bands or threatening their existence, how Blues Pills used Facebook as their main promotional platform through ‘friend-blasting’ in the early days, and he elaborates on his ‘No record, no tour’ statement. A very insightful and fun interview.
