People can say whatever they want about David “The Hoff” Hasselhoff. For me, he incorporates the attitude and values of a true 80s and 90s icon more than ever. His TV series – Knight Rider and Baywatch – have enjoyed tremendous success basically everywhere on the globe, and his music, including the hit singles Looking for Freedom and Do the Limbo Dance, is still being played on European radio stations.
Enter True Survivor. The date is April 16, 2015, and The Hoff salutes his fans and critics with a fabulous tribute to the 1980s: the video for True Survivor, the official soundtrack for the Kickstarter sensation short movie Kung Fury.
What is there to be said? A friend posted it on Facebook the day it got uploaded onto YouTube. I watched the video, and downloaded the song right away without thinking twice. It caught me and I’ve loved it ever since. Again, you either love it or hate it, and I seriously love it. But I’m also a kid of the The Hoff era. Are you, too?
