Aerosmith – Girls of Summer (2002)
Girls of Summer is a single by Boston-Bad-Boys Aerosmith. The song was written by Steven Tyler, Joe Perry and Marti Frederiksen and was released on August 22, 2002, as the only single from the band’s 2002 greatest hits album, O, Yeah! Ultimate Aerosmith Hits. Even though the single reached #25 on the U.S. Mainstream Rock Tracks charts, it never became a big hit like Dudes Looks Like A Lady, Cryin’, or I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing.
I love the song and especially the music video the band created in South Beach with director David Meyers. The video features Jaime Pressly, Nichole Robinson, and Kim Smith, and depicts a completely normal day of three dynamic young ladies, who chillax during daytime, deal with individual issues, tease interested counterparts of the other gender, get ready for partying, and rock the night away.
In my humble opinion, one of the most entertaining and appealing Aerosmith songs and music videos in their catalogue.
See for yourself and let me know what you think about it.
